Tech Events
LGSI supports employees to participate and contribute to technical innovation in their field of work, in addition to their project related work. A number of events are organized in the company to guide and motivate engineers to generate and implement new ideas.
1. IPR(Intellectual Property Right)
Employees are encouraged to submit new ideas, inventions or concepts related to their project work. Through Idea enhancement workshops, new ideas convert to patentable inventions. In addition, we organize regular invention harvesting exercises to provide information on invention generation techniques in line with latest patenting trends.
LGSI has a robust IPR prcess that motivates employees to submit creative ideas for review and selection for patent filing.
2. PoC Realization
LGSI has a well-defined process to promote practical realization of new ideas with engineering groups. This is achieved by developing Proof of Concepts (PoC) of promising ideas, which are used for converting high potential ideas to actual projects for execution.
Selected PoCs are demonstrated at the LG Tech fair with all LG R&D Labs to share the new technology every year.
